List of 100 LHCs defined as Large U.S. depository institution holding companies (DIHCs) with assets of $10 billion or more, of which 50% or more are assets of insured depository institutions (IDIs). This group owns 78% or $13.7 trillion of the $17.7 trillion in total banking assets in the U.S. banking industry as of 9/30/18. This is a significant market share increase, since before the financial crisis, from 54% or $5.5 trillion of the $10.2 trillion in total banking assets as of 3/31/05.
